Transitional Housing

New Life Mission offers transitional housing to homeless women and children while they are actively participating in the ReNewed Life Program. We are committed to providing shelter and investing in our families personal and professional development.

Case Management

The transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency is achieved through five-stages:

Stabilize – Strategize – Strengthen – Send Forth – Support

Each mother we serve is assigned a personal Case Manager to walk alongside her through this transitional process. Through one-on-one case management, we provide access to counseling, parenting support, life skills classes, educational guidance, financial coaching and employment assistance – all in a safe, residential setting.

Kids Academy

Kids Academy is our on-site childcare center for the children in our program. By providing no-cost childcare to the families in our program, we are able to remove the barrier many women face in finding safe, affordable care for their little ones.

When children are cared for in a safe, loving environment, our moms are able to focus on setting goals to move their families forward.

The abundance of activities in Kids Academy include:

• nutrition and cooking classes
• character development activities
• sports instruction and play
• field trips and enrichment programs
• holiday observances
• computer lab
• homework assistance
• reading programs

Life Skills Education

Each family works with a Case Manager to create an individualized care plan for life skills training. We are a back-to-work transitional program, committed to helping homeless moms become self-sufficient. Classes are geared toward strengthening families and include instruction on:

• parenting
• nutrition
• budgeting
• financial literacy
• bible study

Other life skills instruction includes:

• how to dress for success
• problem-solving and critical thinking
• basic computer skills
• time management
• CPR
• housekeeping
• cleanliness
• auto maintenance

Our families are offered all the physical, spiritual, intellectual tools and resources needed to get out of poverty, off government assistance, and create a better future for themselves and their children.

New Life Mission moms have earned their GEDs, some have been licensed in the fields of Cosmetology, EKG/Phlebotomy, Medical Coding & Billing, Massage Therapy, Insurance, Child Care, Medical Assistance, Certified Nursing Assistance, EMT, firefighter and other careers.

Spiritual Support

We help our families find the courage and strength to leave their past behind and rise into a new life.

We are deeply committed to sharing the Truth of the Gospel message with our mothers and children. Through loving discipleship, compassionate care, prayer, and bible study, we encourage students toward a personal, loving God who wants to heal and prosper their lives.
